Severin Koster

Severin Koster (born December 31, 1942 in Auw an der Kyll ) is a German classical philologist .

Life

He studied classical philology in Saarbrücken and was established in February 1969, the thesis ancient epic theories doctorate . After moving to the University of Trier , he completed his habilitation there in 1976 with the text The Invective in Greek and Roman Literature for Classical Philology. He then worked as a private lecturer until 1979 when he accepted a professorship for a chair in his subject at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg . He has been retired since March 2008.
