background

On April 18, 2017, JYP Entertainment announced that Twice would release a new album in May. An exact date has not yet been given. At the same time, reports were denied that the group would only promote the new album for two weeks, because it was already clear that Twice would go to Japan in June. In Japan, the first Japanese album #Twice should be released on June 28th .

On May 1st, JYP Entertainment posted a first teaser photo and the release date was May 15th. In the following days, more details about the album were released in the form of pictures and short videos.

On May 15, Signal was released along with the single of the same name. The album contains six tracks. In addition to Park Jin-young, who wrote the single Signal, Twice members Jihyo and Chaeyoung were also involved in the creation. The two wrote the lyrics for the song Eye Eye Eyes . The text for Only You comes from the former Wonder Girls member Ye-eun, who has also been active as a solo artist under the name Ha: tfelt since 2014.
