Summer Nights is a mini album by the South Korean girl group Twice . It is a re-release of their fifth album What Is Love? . Summer Nights was released on July 9th along with the new single Dance the Night Away .

On June 7th, 2018, JYP Entertainment announced that Twice were preparing for a comeback in July. The music video for the new single had already been shot in Japan. In mid-June it was announced that the new single would be called Dance the Night Away , and the date of the comeback was set for July 9th. In the following years teaser photos and videos were published. The track list published on June 28th indicated that the new mini-album should be called Summer Nights and a re-release of the previous album What Is Love? is. In addition to the well-known What Is Love? it contains the new single and the two tracks Chillax and Shot Thru the Heart .

The album was produced by JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin-young ; the single Dance the Night Away was written by the South Korean singer and producer Wheesung. The lyrics to the song Shot Thru the Heart comes from the three Japanese Twice members Mono, Sana and Mina.

Summer Nights was released on July 9th.
