Im Na-yeon (born September 22, 1995 in Seoul , South Korea ) is a South Korean singer and member of the girl group Twice . Mostly she occurs under her mononym Nayeon ( Hangeul : 나연 ).

life and career

Nayeon became a trainee at the agency in September 2010 after being audited by JYP Entertainment . For the girl group 6mix planned in 2013 Nayeon was planned as a member, but the group was not founded as expected. In 2015, she successfully participated in the casting show Sixteen , in which she was selected as one of the nine future members of Twice.

Nayeon is one of the most popular idols in her country and was mostly voted in front of her colleagues at Twice in fan votes like that of Gallup .

Nayeon was also briefly seen in the second episode of the K-drama series Dream High 2 (2012).

Stalking incident

Towards the end of 2019, Nayeon came into the focus of the media outside of her musical activities, as a stalker of the singer allegedly from Germany was investigated. Two months after the stalker illegally approached Nayeon on a flight, Nayeon's agency abandoned its request for an injunction .
