Thomas Stecher

Thomas Stecher (born February 22, 1961 in Berlin ) is a German actor , theater director , dubbing and radio play speaker .

Life

Thomas Stecher was born in Berlin in 1961 as the son of the actors and actresses Kati Székely and Hans-Edgar Stecher . Already at the age of 11 he was on stage in the Volksbühne Berlin in 1972 in the play The golden elephant , after he had already appeared in the television play Die Pulverprobe in 1971 . From 1981 to 1985 he studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art . Even before his studies he had made a leading role in his first major DEFA film Romance with Amélie , and in 1983 he played a leading role in the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam . Until 1995 he had an engagement at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and then worked at the Berliner Ensemble until 1999 . From 1997 to 2003 he gave several guest performances at the Schwäbisch Hall open-air theater . From 2001 he played at various theaters in Dresden and at the Neue Bühne Senftenberg . In recent years he has also worked as a theater director.

Thomas Stecher spoke the dubbed versions for various films and appeared in over a hundred radio plays for the radio. As a child, he was already in great demand for both speaking roles.
