Sir Jinx , real name Anthony Wheaton shortened, even Tony Wheaton is an American hip-hop - producer and DJ .

biography

Sir Jinx grew up in South Central Los Angeles . With Ice Cube and Kid Disaster he was part of the hip-hop group CIA , short for Cru 'In Action! . Through this connection he introduced Ice Cube to his cousin Dr. Dre and was part of the founding of NWA . He was also involved in their first long player, NWA and the Posse . He was shown on the cover and helped to create this by adding graffiti to the wall in the background .

After Ice Cube left NWA, Sir Jinx remained more connected to him than to the rest of the group. Together with The Bomb Squad produced it Ice Cubes debut album AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted , as well as its other early projects: the EP Kill at Will and long-player Death Certificate , The Predator and Lethal Injection , all with at least one platinum record by the RIAA awarded were.

He also produced the first two works by rapper Yo Yo and Live and Let Die by Kool G Rap and DJ Polo in the early 1990s . From 1998 to 2006 he also produced individual songs by Redman , Tash , Westside Connection , Kurupt , Kokane and Paris .

This was followed by productions by him only sporadically, for example in 2010 on Ice Cubes I Am the West . Instead, he acted as a DJ and had appearances on television programs such as The Jimmy Kimmel Show . He also founded the company Coastal Contra , which takes care of selling the music of rappers from the 1990s online , especially in the form of compilations .
