So a Satansbraten (Original title: Problem Child ) is an American comedy film from 1990.

action

Ben Healy, an employee at his father's company "Big Ben" Healy, and his wife Flo adopt the seven-year-old junior. This quickly turns out to be a roast of Satan that has already been returned to the orphanage several times. He also stirs up the Healy household. When he devastates the birthday party of a child in the neighborhood, Ben decides with a heavy heart to return him to the orphanage. But Junior, who has now realized that at least Ben means well to him, thwarted a plot by Flo and her brother against Big Ben's fortune. Ben breaks up with Flo and realizes that Junior has good sides too. In the end he decides to raise him alone.

Production and publication

The film was shot in Texas from October to November 1989 . Filming locations were Fort Worth, Irving, Dallas, Farmers Branch and Mesquite. The film opened in US theaters on July 27, 1990 and in German theaters on November 8, 1990. On a budget of $ 10 million, the film grossed $ 72.2 million.

Sequels

In 1991 a first sequel was created with Ein Satansbraten seldom alone , directed by Brian Levant . In supporting roles were again u. a. See John Ritter, Michael Oliver and Jack Warden.

The second sequel, Ein Satansbraten is in love , was produced in 1995. The film was directed by Greg Beeman . Only some of the actors from the first film could be seen here again.

In 1993 a 26-part animated series was produced.
