On December 15, 2005, he played his first international competitive game in the UEFA Cup in a 0-0 draw against Steaua Bucharest . After he had missed almost the entire second half of the season in the 2008/09 season due to a torn muscle bundle in the groin, his contract was not extended in May 2009.

Hannover 96

In August 2009, Chahed signed a two-year contract with Hannover 96 to give stability to the right-wing defense. In the very first season at Hannover 96 he was able to convince and scored his only goals for Hannover. However, he was never able to oust Steven Cherundolo . Another two-year contract followed in March 2011 with Hannover 96.

Due to a prolonged injury to Cherundolo, he came at the beginning of the second half of the 2012/13 season to several missions in the position of right full-back as a regular player. Against FC Schalke 04 , he was the first full-back in the Hannover 96 team to assist . In the following game against VfL Wolfsburg , he prepared two more goals. For the 2013/14 season, Chahed did not receive a new contract in Hanover.

Since mid-September he has been keeping fit at the regional league club SV Babelsberg 03 . At the end of December 2013, Chahed played for second division club SpVgg Greuther Fürth , who were looking for a backup for Daniel Brosinski , but then there was no commitment. After a year without a club, he signed a one-year contract with the second division club FSV Frankfurt on July 30, 2014 . In November 2014, Chahed's contract was terminated for private reasons.
