Sparbach around the year 1872 (right, recording sheet of the state survey)

Like Weissenbach, Sparbach is a cadastral municipality of the market town of Hinterbrühl in the Mödling district in the Austrian state of Lower Austria .

The place has about 300 inhabitants and is located in the middle of the Vienna Woods. Most of the forest holdings belong to the Princely House of Liechtenstein . This also includes the Sparbach Nature Park with the Johannstein ruins .

With the exception of a few farmers, the place is a commuter place, which means that the population drives daily to the industrial plants in the eastern part of the district or to Vienna . A relatively large part of the population are second home owners.

In terms of traffic, it is located directly on the Vienna outer ring motorway (A 21), which divides the place in two halves, with the Hinterbrühl exit.
