description

A chapel that was consecrated to Boniface stood in the same place as early as the 8th century . The retracted church tower of today's hall church from 1833/34 comes from a previous building from 1463, as can be seen from an inscription on the south side. The tower is covered with a high eight-sided tent roof, which is flanked by four pointed pyramid roofs . The loopholes that are still available can, to an earlier fortified church close. Today's nave is a uniform rectangular building covered with a mansard roof. The church furnishings from the construction period have been completely preserved. The interior is spanned with a wooden barrel vault, which was painted around 1900 with simple friezes and clover-leaf medallions . There are two-story galleries on three sides . The stained glass windows in the choir were created by Wilhelm Franke in 1918/19. The pulpit altar is classicistic . The baptismal font in the tower vestibule is from the 15th century.

The organ with 16 registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal , was built in 1902 by Adam Eifert and restored in 1991 by Rösel & Hercher Orgelbau .
