description
The rectangular hall church was built in 1738 from rubble stones from the previous building using the older walls in the eastern part. It has a retracted square choir , which is covered with a slate-covered gable roof, from which an octagonal roof turret rises, which has a bulbous hood . In it hang two bells that were cast in 1780 and 1781 by the Schleiz bell caster Johann Heinrich Graulich. The nave is covered with a hipped gable roof. The vestibule with the portal is located in a porch in the west .
The nave with its galleries is covered with a wooden flat ceiling. The interior is illuminated by arched windows. The nave and the choir are connected without a triumphal arch . The simple church furnishings come from the construction time. The renaissance pulpit behind the altar is from the 17th century. The Corinthian pillars of the pulpit rest on pedestals . In the plinth between pillars there is a painting of the Last Supper . The hexagonal wooden baptismal font dates from the 18th century. A chandelier carved from wood , with two rows of eight twisted light carriers each, is considered naive peasant art. The organ with 7 registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built around 1810 by an unknown organ builder .
