View from the gallery to the altar

The structure was built from field stones that were neatly hewn and layered in layers. So far there are no documents about the original form of the choir . On the east side of the nave , the pointed arch triumphal arch has been preserved, which has been blocked. In the stepped gable with pinnacles above is a small, segment-arched opening.

On the southern wall of the nave are two groups with three coupled lancet windows , the middle one of which is elevated. The reveals were made with reddish bricks, some of which are plastered . Below the eastern group is a small, beehive-shaped gate. The north side has a similar structure, but instead of the small gate there is a clogged, pointed arch-shaped priest gate in which an epitaph has been placed. Between the two groups of windows is a sacristy with a rectangular floor plan and a curved gable. The sacristy and nave have a simple saddle roof .

The church tower is based on a base made of uncut and not layered field stones. It has a square floor plan and has moved in. Access is from the west via a five-step portal made of reddish brick. The upper two floors are easily drawn in and also plastered. In the lower area of the tower floor there are three segment-arch-shaped openings, some of which are designed as panels , above, two sound arcades on the north and south sides and one each on the west side. The tower ends with a pyramid roof with copper covering and a cross.

The flat-roofed nave probably originally had a vault . A triumphal arch, part of the former choir, frames the altar niche . The interior was completely rebuilt in 1937 according to plans by the architect Ostermeyer from Stettin . The stone altar, pulpit and gallery as well as the coats of arms of the noble patronage families Owstin , Buggenhagen , Hertell , Schwerin and Lepel in the windows date from this time .

A large goblet-shaped baptismal font made of Gotland limestone and decorated with mythical creatures from the first middle of the 13th century is the oldest piece of equipment in the church. The former altarpiece from 1860 is a copy of Antonio da Correggio's Adoration of the Shepherds . The 19th century stalls were changed during the renovation in 1937.

The organ was built in 1849 by Friedrich Nerlich from Stralsund . In 1937 the organ and the prospectus were revised. The ringing consists of a bell that was cast by Benedictus Hein in 1587. It has the strike note f sharp .
