St. Peter and Paul

The branch church St. Peter and Paul is the Roman Catholic village church of Achering , a district of the large district town of Freising in Upper Bavaria . It is also a protected monument and entered in the list of architectural monuments in Freising (monument number D-1-78-124-254)

The church was built on the western edge of the village. The church's Gothic choir dates from the 15th century. The rectangular room is spanned by a star vault on small corbels. The nave and sacristy were built in 1860.

The church's furnishings include a 118 centimeter high wooden figure from the beginning of the 16th century, which depicts Saint Sebastian in princely garb. In his right hand he holds two arrows.
