The Apfelhof state domain (or just Apfelhof ; formerly also Oberapfelbach ) is a homestead in the Bad Mergentheim district of Apfelbach in the Main-Tauber district in northeast Baden-Württemberg .

geography

The apple farm stands at an altitude of about 390  m above sea level. NHN a little over a kilometer north-northeast of Herbsthausen on the left slope of the valley basin of the Lochbach , which then enters the large forest area between Herbsthausen and the village of Apfelbach, which lies over three and a half kilometers north-north-west, further down the valley. The property with only one house number and several agricultural outbuildings is surrounded by a soft patch of orchards. The opposite low slope descends for the first time in the Apfelbachtal Steinriegel . A short spur road from the K 2851 Herbsthausen – Apfelbach opens up the farm.

In terms of natural space, the place is in the Umpfer-Wachbach-Riedel sub -area of the Tauberland , which is bordered by the Middle Kocher-Jagst Plains in the south .

In the 18th century, the Apfelhof state domain was still called Oberapfelbach .
