City and official custom of Grünberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The municipal and official usage of Grünberg was until 1900 the particular law in the city of Grünberg , places in the office of Grünberg and its legal successors.

history

The origin of the town and official usage of Grünberg cannot be determined in terms of time. It has been used "from ancient times" by local jurisdiction. In the 16th century, Landgrave Ludwig IV of Hessen-Marburg first tried to determine which particular rights were valid in his territory for Upper Hesse , which he ruled . He had appropriate reports prepared in the individual parts of the country. The particular rights recorded thereby also included the municipal and official usage of Grünberg . However, there was no unifying legislation. However, Johann Georg Estor used the material to publish it in the middle of the 18th century.

The municipal and official customs of Grünberg mainly contained regulations on inheritance and marriage law .

Validity

The town and official customs of Grünberg were primarily applicable in the town and office of Grünberg. Where it did not contain any regulations, subsidiary common law applied . The municipal and official customs of Grünberg retained its validity even while it belonged to the Grand Duchy of Hesse in the 19th century, until it was replaced on January 1, 1900 by the civil code that was uniformly applicable throughout the German Empire .
