history
In March 1135, Emperor Lothar III confirmed . the exchange between Abbot Eppo and Duke Heinrich X. , as a result of which the Stenenchiriche mansion including the mill belonging to it, previously the fief seat of Burgrave Otto von Regensburg , fell to the neighboring Mallersdorf monastery . Steinkirchen stayed with the closed monastery Hofmark Mallersdorf until secularization in Bavaria in 1803. After that it belonged to the municipality of Mallersdorf, since 1952 Markt Mallersdorf, since the regional reform in Bavaria in 1972 Markt Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg.
Attractions
- Filial church of St. Nicholas. The late Romanesque complex dates from the middle of the 13th century. The tower received its pilaster structure in the 18th century.
