This is a directory of street names in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund .

The directory gives the name of the street and (in brackets) the district. An explanation (year of naming, reason) for the street name is given. Because of the large number of streets, the directory was divided according to the first letters of the street names. Under "General" you will find the introduction and explanations of the street names in general.

  • Edith-Dettmann-Strasse (Tribseer / Tribseer Wiesen)
Named after the painter Prof. Edith Dettmann ( 1898 - 1987 ).
  • Ehm-Welk-Weg (Knieper / Knieper West)
Named after the German writer Ehm Welk . There is only a direct reference to Stralsund to the extent that Ehm Welk took part in the central commemoration of the GDR for the 150th birthday of Hans Christian Andersen in Stralsund in 1955 .
  • Ehrenpreisweg (Tribseer / Tribseer Wiesen)
Named after the meadow plant speedwell . This district was built on a former meadow area.
  • Elisabeth-Büchsel-Weg (Tribseer / Tribseer Wiesen)
Named after the German painter Elisabeth Büchsel (1867–1957). Born in Stralsund, she preferred to use motifs from the island of Hiddensee in her works.
  • Elisabethweg (Tribseer / Tribseer settlement)
  • Erich-Kliefert-Straße (Tribseer / Tribseer Wiesen)
Named after the Stralsund painter Erich Kliefert (1893–1994). Among other things, Kliefert created the monumental wall paintings in the Stralsund train station in the 1930s, which show views of Stralsund and the island of Rügen .
  • Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Strasse (Knieper / Kniepervorstadt)
The street has existed since 1925. It was named after the German writer Ernst Moritz Arndt on March 24, 1925 , who attended the Stralsund grammar school in St. Catherine's Monastery in Stralsund from February 1787 to October 1789 .
  • Everd-Drulleshagen-Weg (Knieper / Knieper Nord)
Named after Everd Drulleshagen from Stralsund . He bequeathed the Kramerhof estate to the Stralsund shipping company .
