The directory gives the name of the street and (in brackets) the district. An explanation (year of naming, reason) for the street name is given. Because of the large number of streets, the directory was divided according to the first letters of the street names. Named after the native sea buckthorn , a berry plant. In this part of the city, the streets were mostly named after native plants.
  • Sängereck (Grünhufe / Stadtkoppel)
  • Sarnowstrasse (Knieper / Kniepervorstadt)
Named after the tailor Karsten Sarnow ; at the end of the 14th century he was the mayor of Stralsund for several years . This street is first mentioned in 1875; it came into being after the fortress character of Stralsund was lifted. The section between Kniepertor and Knieperdamm was renamed Olof-Palme-Platz in 1986 in memory of the murdered Swedish Prime Minister . Therefore, Sarnowstraße now begins at number 6.

Named after the Swedish chemist and researcher Carl Wilhelm Scheele , who was born in Stralsund Fährstraße 23. The Scheele street was first mentioned in records in 1928 (in the population register). Construction began in 1926. An extension planned in 1936 (up to Friedrich-Naumann-Straße) was never carried out. Therefore the first house has the number 9 instead of the 1.
