Strzybnik (German Silberkopf ) is a village in Upper Silesia . Administratively, it is located in the municipality of Rudnik in the Raciborski powiat ( Racibórz district) in the Silesian Voivodeship .

Strzybnik is two kilometers northwest of the township seat Rudnik , eight kilometers northwest of the district town Racibórz (Ratibor) and 61 kilometers west of the voivodeship capital Katowice .
history
The place was created in the 13th century at the latest. 1295–1305 the place was first mentioned in the Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis ( Tithe Register of the Diocese of Breslau) as "Strebrincop".
The place was mentioned in 1784 in the book Beytrage to describe Silesia as Silberkopf and in Polish Srzybnick , belonged to a Herr von Drechsler and was in the Principality of Racibórz. At that time he had 143 inhabitants, a Vorwerk , a windmill, two farmers, 22 gardeners and nine cottagers. In 1865 Silberkopf consisted of a manor and a community. The manor had belonged to the von Eickstedt family since 1819, and around 1865 it was owned by Lieutenant Friedrich von Eickstedt. The estate had a brandy distillery. At that time the place had 40 gardeners and 20 cottagers. The school was in Rudnik.
In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 101 people eligible to vote locally voted for Upper Silesia to remain with Germany and 100 for membership in Poland. At Gut Silberkopf, 118 voted for Germany and 19 for Poland. Silberkopf stayed with the German Empire after the division of Upper Silesia . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Ratibor .
In 1945 the previously German town came under Polish administration and was then attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed the Polish Strzybnik . In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship. In 1975 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the re-established powiat Raciborski and the Silesian Voivodeship.
