Sun Zehao (born December 13, 1995 in Harbin ) is a Chinese ice hockey goalkeeper who has been playing for KRS-ORG Beijing in the Russian Vysschaya Hockey League since 2017 .

Career

Sun Zehao began his career as a hockey player with Beijing Ice Hockey, where he played in the Chinese Ice Hockey League. In 2013 he moved to China Dragon , the only Chinese professional team at the time, for which he only played a single role in the Asia League Ice Hockey . In 2014 he returned to the Chinese league and played there for three years with the amateur team from Chengde . In 2017 he switched to the Kunlun Red Star system , where he plays with the second team, initially in Heilongjiang Province and since 2018 in Beijing in the Russian Vysschaya Hockey League .

International

In the junior sector, Sun competed with China at the U18 World Cup in 2013 , when he was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament with the best catch rate and the lowest goals against, and in the 2015 U20 World Championship , when he had the third best goal against his compatriot Wang Han and the Mexican Jaime Pérez reached, each part in Division III. He also played with the Chinese student selection at the 2015 Winter Universiade in Granada, Spain .

The goalkeeper made his debut in the Chinese men's selection at the 2016 World Cup in Division II. Also in 2017 , when he achieved the second-best catch rate and the second-lowest counter goal after New Zealander Richard Parry , and in 2018 , when he followed the Dutchman Ian Meierdres and the Australian Anthony Kimlin achieved the third best catch quota of the tournament, he played with the team from the Middle Kingdom in Division II. He also represented his colors at the Winter Asian Games 2017 .
