Supermen Against Amazons is an Italian trash film from 1974. It was directed by Alfonso Brescia as part of the loose Tre supermen series. The German alternative and former cinema title of the mixture of fantasy film , Eastern and whipping comedy is you all in the pan . First performance in Italy was on April 11, 1974.

Amazons rule over the land and tyrannize the population of a village. Dharma, a magician , is one of the few who rebel against them. At the same time he is the keeper of the "eternal fire", which is supposed to confer immortality . The village is on his side as he creates supermen to defend it from the Amazons. After his murder, his student Aro takes on this role and is supported by a giant gladiator , Moog, and the Asian Chun. After a number of fighting and amorous entanglements, the three manage to pacify the Amazons and secure the future of the village.
criticism
Most of the reviews were negative, for example in the “Lexicon of Fantasy Films”: “Quite a tough mix of Akira Kurosawa , Westerns and Greek mythology ; Just like the taste of the audience, who were called Turkey friends . ”or the lexicon of the international film :“ Failed parody of adventure stories that tries to entertain with lazy magic, myths and the tumult of battle. Tiring and boring despite the spectacular staging ”. Matt Blake writes in his genre overview that the film is not as bizarre or twisted as most reviewers would like it to believe, but that it mixes idiosyncratic elements from sandal films, Zorro strips, spaghetti westerns and comic book adaptations.

- The German synchronization comes from Rainer Brandt's studio and is provided with the typical puns and a Schnodder synchronization . The German version misses the first six minutes of the film in which the Amazons are fighting a deadly tournament to succeed the leader.
