Susi Kertes
Susi Kertes , actually Suzanne Kertész , (born December 17, 1914 in Győr , † July 4, 1948 in Hinwil ) was a Hungarian actress who worked in Switzerland .
Life
Susi Kertes learned her trade in 1934 at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and was engaged as a guest at the Schauspielhaus Zurich for the 1935 season . For the 1936 season she was accepted into the ensemble of the house. Directed by Leopold Lindtberg , she played Marie Beaumarchais in the Clavigo , Leonore in Fiesco , Ophelia in Hamlet and Arthur 's sister Fanny in Arthur Aronymus and his fathers .
From 1937 she appeared at the Städtebundtheater Biel-Solothurn in Geizigen as the Mariane and under the direction of Harald Tauber in Victorien Sardous and Émile de Najacs Cyprienne in the title role.
From 1940 to 1946 Susi Kertes worked at the Stadttheater Luzern - played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet , Doña Angela in Dame Kobold , Julie in Liliom , Elmire in Tartuffe , Angela Borgia in Werner Johannes Guggenheim's play based on CF Meyer's novella in 1891, Solvejg in Peer Gynt , Leonore von Este in Tasso , Lady Windermere in the Fan , Joan in the Maid of Orleans , the title role in Maria Stuart , Beatrice in the Bride of Messina , Elisabeth von Valois in Don Carlos , Luise in Cabal and Love and Amalia von Edelreich in the robbers .
In addition, she was a regular at 1942 Markus Breitner in the Summer Theater Winterthur and played 1945 in the City Theater Chur the Salome . In 1947 she appeared with Attila Hörbiger and Paula Wessely in Juliane Kay's play Vagabunden .
Susi Kertes and Harald Tauber got married in 1943. The couple was killed in a car accident.
