Suzanne Doucet

Suzanne Doucet (born August 27, 1944 in Tübingen ) is a German singer , composer , actress and producer .

Doucet went to school in Meersburg on Lake Constance, in Frankfurt am Main , Heidelberg and Hamburg , attended a conservatory in Munich and the Sorbonne in Paris . The mother was like her grandmother that play a role in Metropolis by Fritz Lang had Helen of Münchshofen . These two were already actresses. Her father, Friedrich-Wilhelm Doucet, was a pupil of Carl Gustav Jung and author of numerous books on dream interpretation, human knowledge and parapsychology . Doucet manages the legacy of the writer and future partner of her mother, Fred von Hoerschelmann .

Suzanne Doucet first worked as a technical draftsman and painter in Ascona , before she had her first successes as a pop singer in 1964, and later as an actress and television presenter. She moderated u. a. the show 4-3-2-1 Hot & Sweet (1968–1970 with Ilja Richter , ZDF ) and Hits à Gogo (1967–1973, ARD and Swiss television ) and played in several television series (including 1969 Die Hupe - a school newspaper ). With James Krüss and Hans Clarin she shot 26 episodes of James Tierleben , one of the most popular children's programs of the 1960s.

In 1966 she produced her first long-playing record Rot wie Rubin (with Rio Gregory ) and recorded the album Suzanne Doucet International with Liberty Records with songs and songs in seven different languages. Doucet also wrote lyrics for Udo Juergens (My First Way) , Katja Ebstein and Anja Hauptmann and in the seventies also worked as a producer for Abi Ofarim's prom label in Munich. There she wrote her own album In Essig und Öl as well as songs for Mike Brant , Vivi Bach and Margot Werner .

In 1980 she founded her own record label called Isis Musik, released the album Reisefieber and moved to the USA in 1983, where she found a new home in California . In addition to further instrumental albums on the new US labels Beyond and ONAM (Only New Age Music), Suzanne Doucet also produced several CD series with pure natural sounds. In the USA she is considered a pioneer in this genre . In 1987 she opened the first new age music store in Los Angeles .
