The Tōzai Line ( Japanese 東西 線 , dt. "East-West Line") is an underground line of the Tōkyō Metro in the Japanese capital Tokyo . It is 30.8 kilometers long and has 23 stations. The route leads from the Nakano station to Nishi-Funabashi, which is located in the suburb of Funabashi . Their identification in the route plan is T .
The gauge is 1067 mm like most metro lines in Tokyo. The Tōzai Line provides access to the JR Chūō Main Line , which goes to Nagoya . In addition, the Tōzai line is one of the busiest lines on the Tokyo subway . During rush hour, between 7:50 a.m. and 8:50 a.m., twice as many people use the line as originally intended.

Others
Each station has its own theme song . Taken together it results in a song. Responsible for this is the musician Minoru Mukaiya , who also composed and produced jingles for other stations of the Tokyo Metro and Japan Railways .
