Tariq
Tariq ( Arabic طارق, DMG Tariq ) is both a noun and a male Arabic name and is also Tarik written, but there is also one with Kaf written word tarik with an entirely different meaning, which can also be used as a name. The Turkish spelling Tarık and the occasional transcription Tarek are due to the actual pronunciation of the vowel "i", which is influenced by the letter Qaf and its pronunciation.
