Taurus Awards 2009
The Taurus Awards 2009 were the eighth presentation of the Taurus Award , an American award for film stunts, which took place on May 16, 2009 again as since 2003 on a backlot of Paramount Pictures and the Paramount Theater.
Award
Due to the economic situation, there was no TV show. The two film productions The Dark Knight and Iron Man emerged from the awards ceremony as the biggest winners .
For this reason, as in the previous year, the Taurus Lifetime Achievement Award for an Action Movie Star, the Taurus Lifetime Achievement Award and the Action Movie Star of the Year were not presented.

As usual since 2003, the awards were presented in nine categories in which a total of 26 different films were nominated. The film The Dark Knight was nominated the most with five nominations. This film received the most Taurus Awards with five awards, setting the record for The Fast and the Furious since the 2002 Taurus Awards . With The Dark Knight, this was the first time a film was awarded in all categories in which it was nominated. Last year, for the first time, no German action series was recognized as the best foreign production, the German action series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei received the award for the third time in the category of best stunt in a foreign film .
The following films from the previous year were nominated in 2009 and received the Taurus Award.
