Taurus Awards 2001
The 2001 Taurus Awards marked the first ever presentation of the Taurus Award , an American award for film stunts, which took place on May 20, 2001 at the Santa Monica Barker Hangar.
Awards
Director John Woo was honored with a special award as an action film director. Following got Arnold Schwarzenegger an honorary award. Schwarzenegger received the Taurus Honorary Award for recognizing the work of many stunt people over the years. Hal Needham received the Taurus Lifetime Achievement Award for his continued work as a stunt performer, actor , director and producer over the past five decades.
Alec Baldwin hosted the show.

The awards were given in eleven categories, in which a total of 24 different films were nominated. The film 3 Angels for Charlie was nominated the most with six nominations. With two awards each, 3 Angels for Charlie and Gladiator received the most Taurus Awards.
