Ted Raimi (* 14. December 1965 in Detroit , Michigan as Theodore Raimi ) is an American actor and screenwriter . He has two older brothers, director Sam Raimi and screenwriter Ivan Raimi , and a sister, a lawyer. His oldest brother Sander died in a swimming accident in Israel in 1968 at the age of 15.

life and career

Ted Raimi studied at the University of Michigan , New York University and the University of Detroit . He grew up in a Jewish family. His parents are of Russian-Jewish and Hungarian-Jewish origin.

His first notable role was in the horror film Tanz der Teufel II , directed by his older brother Sam Raimi .

Then Ted Raimi was seen in other horror films and made guest appearances in series such as Alf and Baywatch , before he became known to a wide audience through a leading role in the science fiction series SeaQuest DSV produced by Steven Spielberg . He also wrote scripts for some of the series' episodes.

Ted Raimi also gained great popularity through his recurring role as the lovable clumsy Joxer in the fantasy series Xena - The Warrior Princess , which was produced by his brother.

In recent years, Ted Raimi has played small to medium-sized roles in well-known Hollywood productions such as Spider-Man , Spider-Man 2 , Spider-Man 3 and The Grudge . He is also active as a spokesperson for video game characters.

Ted Raimi also appears under the stage name Bill Ferguson.
