Teddy Da Costa (born February 17, 1986 in Melun ) is a French - Polish ice hockey player who has been under contract with KS Cracovia in the Polish Ekstraliga since 2017 . His brothers Gabriel and Stéphane are also ice hockey players.
Career
Teddy Da Costa began his career as an ice hockey player in his French homeland in the youth department of Viry-Châtillon Essonne Hockey . From there he moved to the 2004/05 season for Gap Hockey Club , for which he made his professional ice hockey debut this season when he was used in a total of 24 games in Ligue Magnus , in which he scored ten goals and four assists gave. From 2005 to 2010 the center played for Zagłębie Sosnowiec in the Polish Ekstraliga . He then returned to France, where he received a contract with the top club Rouen Hockey Elite 76 for the 2010/11 season . With this he immediately won the double of championship title and Coupe de France .
For the 2011/12 season he was signed by GKS Tychy from the Ekstraliga and played there until the end of the 2012/13 season. He then signed a contract with Hokki from the second-class Finnish Mestis . For the following season (2014/15) he was signed by Tappara from the highest Finnish league, the Liiga , in the 2015/16 season he also played for the Pelicans Lahti and Vaasan Sport in the Liiga.
At the beginning of the 2016/17 season , Da Costa was signed by Orli Znojmo , who plays in the Austrian ice hockey league .
International
For France , Da Costa took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2003 and 2004 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2005 and 2006 .
In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 2011 and 2012 World Championships .
