Tejn is a small port town with 848 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) on the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea . The village is in the parish of Ols ( Olsker Sogn ), which until 1970 belonged to Harde Nørre Herred in what was then Bornholm's office . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the Allinge-Gudhjem commune, the commune in turn merged with other communes into the Bornholm regional commune after a referendum on January 1, 2003 . Between 2003 and 2007 it was independent and since January 1st 2007 it belongs to the Hovedstaden region .
Tejn is about five kilometers southeast of Allinge-Sandvig . The port of Tejn is the third largest port on Bornholm after Nexø and Rønne .
The Troldskoven , a forest with building stones and a ship settlement, is about 1.3 km southeast near the coastal road.
