Nyker is a village with 686 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) on the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea . The village is located in the parish of the same name ( Nyker Sogn ), which until 1970 belonged to the Harde Vester Herred in what was then Bornholm's office . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the Hasle municipality, and after a referendum on January 1, 2003, the municipality was merged with other municipalities into the Bornholm regional municipality . Between 2003 and 2007 it was independent and since January 1st 2007 it belongs to the Hovedstaden region .
Nyker Ny Kirke is one of the four round churches on Bornholm.
Nyker is about two kilometers southeast of Muleby and about seven kilometers northeast of Rønne .
