Theodora
Theodora or Teodora is the feminine form of the first name Theodor and is made up of the Greek words doron for 'gift', 'gift' and theos for 'God' and therefore means gift of God or God's gift . Reversing the order of the two parts of the name results in the female first name Dorothea , which is more common in German . The corresponding male first name Dorotheos is only common in ancient Greek and in the Byzantine Church.
