This also includes the Neuthaures district, a row village from the 19th century that lies between Thaures and Altmanns .

For a time there was a school of its own in Thaures, in 1811 Thaures belonged to Gopprechts (municipality of Litschau) with regard to school attendance and in 1829 the children were enrolled in Brand . In 1872, a schoolhouse with a small tower for the local bell was built in Thaures and later expanded. In 1965 a new primary school building was built.

In 1907 the local chapel was built and consecrated to St. Leonhard. In 1934 the community had 311 and 1939 322 inhabitants. Electrification began in 1946.

In 1970 the local council decided to merge it with the community of Heidenreichstein.
