Theo de Meester

Theodoor Herman (Theo) de Meester (born December 16, 1851 in Harderwijk , † December 27, 1919 in The Hague ) was a Dutch politician of the Liberal Unie .

The former administrator of the Dutch East Indies held the offices of Dutch Prime Minister (more precisely: Chairman of the Council of Ministers) and Minister of Finance from August 17, 1905 to February 12, 1908. He failed with his defense budget in parliament in both 1906 and 1907, which ultimately led to his resignation.
