Pieter Philip van Bosse (born December 16, 1809 in Amsterdam , † February 21, 1879 in The Hague ) was a liberal Dutch statesman. Between 1848 and 1871 he was Finance Minister in six cabinets and from 1868 to 1871 Chairman of the Council of Ministers.

After completing high school at the Atheneum Illustre in Amsterdam , van Bosse studied law at the University of Leiden and received his doctorate there in 1834. He then worked as a lawyer in Amsterdam, before moving to the Ministry of Finance in 1845 and becoming Minister of Finance for the first time in 1848 (until 1853). He also held this office from 1858 to 1860, 1866 and 1868 to 1871 and was chairman of the Council of Ministers from 1868 to 1871. At times he also held the Ministry of Church Affairs. In 1871 he took over the Colonial Ministry, in 1872 the Interior Ministry and was again Colonial Minister from 1877 to 1879.

In 1872 he was awarded the honorary title of Minister of State .
