Life

After studying sports and art education from 1965 to 1969 in Bamberg and Nuremberg , he taught art at the Paul Eber School in Kitzingen until 1982 . In 1982 he quit his civil service and taught for another year at the Egbert-Gymnasium-Münsterschwarzach. In 1983 he began working as a freelance visual artist. He has been married to Ursula Steinbrenner since 1974 and has two children with her. In 1979 he built his house with a studio and gallery in Schwarzach am Main . In addition, today's sculpture park was created. In 1986 Theophil Steinbrenner took over an old defensive tower in the wine-growing community of Sommerach and founded his own tower museum with the first cabaret for the town and district of Kitzingen. In the same year his circle of friends and culture was established, which today has more than 500 members. In 1996 he and his wife bought an old farm near Kirchschönbach . The courtyard was built in 1794 as a covering shop or animal carcass recycling facility. The artist was able to renovate it with friends and transform it into the Alte Fallmeisterei hunting and culture center.

Works

Theophil Steinbrenner works as a painter , draftsman, ceramist and sculptor . His graphic work includes paintings from watercolors to oil paintings as well as drawings and hot-needle etchings. In the field of ceramics, after he had stopped the pottery in 2004, he reduced production to building ceramics, the tiled stoves. In Canada , for example, an oven with an integrated bathtub was created, in Würzburg one that also serves as a staircase.

The artist also produces bronze sculptures, including small and large human and animal sculptures and fountains. There are over 300 Steinbrenner fountains, for example in Hamburg , Trier , Bad Reichenhall , Neustadt an der Aisch , Diespeck or in Perg near Linz in Upper Austria .

Events

With the establishment of the Tower Museum, the resulting cabaret and later the Alte Fallmeisterei hunting and culture courtyard , a new cultural series was created under the motto Culture in Tower and Courtyard . The annual program is designed by up-and-coming artists up to the greats of the German-speaking film and television business. Stars from Günter Strack to Christian Quadflieg , Michaela May and Jutta Speidel to Friedrich von Thun formed the highlight of the cultural year with the Schwarzach Christmas, which finally takes place in the Arche in Schwarzach.
