There Is Nothing Left to Lose is the third studio album by the Foo Fighters . It was released on November 2nd, 1999 and was the follow-up to the most successful Foo Fighters album The Color and the Shape . It was the band's first release on the BMG label RCA and reached number 10 in the first week in the US and UK, expanding its fan base with hits like Learn To Fly , Stacked Actors , Breakout and Next Year . Many of the songs differ from the band's first two albums in that they are more radio friendly and less aggressive.
There Is Nothing Left to Lose is the first album with Taylor Hawkins as the drummer and the last without Chris Shiflett as the guitarist.
Early pressings of the CD contain the tattoo shown on the cover as an adhesive tattoo. The album was re-released as a 2-disc version in Australia in 2001. The second CD contains four videos and the bonus title Fraternity . The cover of the re-release shows the Australian swimmer Michael Klim wearing the Foo Fighters adhesive tattoo on his left upper arm during a competition.
