Thomas Ebeling (politician)

Thomas Ebeling (born October 20, 1975 in Regensburg ) is a German local politician ( CSU ) and lawyer . He is since May 1, 2014 District Administrator of the District of Schwandorf .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1995, Ebeling began studying law at the University of Regensburg , which he completed in 2000 with the first state examination in law. After the second state examination in 2002, he worked as a lawyer for a year and in 2004 moved to Viechtach as a judge for civil, care and administrative offense proceedings . From July 2006 to January 2009 he was head of the department for constitution, law, parliamentary issues and consumer protection as well as the public service of the CSU parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament . In 2009 the lawyer returned to the civil service and worked for the Regensburg public prosecutor . From February 2010 to March 2011 he was alsoParliamentary advisor to the CSU parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament for the BayernLB / HGAA investigative committee . Since April 2011 he has been a judge at the Schwandorf District Court .

Ebeling is Roman Catholic , married and lives in Maxhütte-Haidhof .

Politician

Ebeling has been a member of the Junge Union and the CSU since 1994 . From 2002 to 2008 he was a member of Obertraubling's municipal council . He is also deputy chairman of the CSU district association Schwandorf. He is a member of the policy committee of the CSU and a co-opted member of the state executive committee of the CSU legal team. In the local elections on March 16, 2014, he ran for the CSU as district administrator of the Schwandorf district. On March 30, 2014, he prevailed in a runoff election against the social democrat Marianne Schieder . Ebeling received 51.03 percent of the vote, Schieder 48.97 percent. He is the first CSU district administrator in the history of the district. In the local elections on March 15, 2020, Ebeling was re-elected with 69.40% of the vote.

Dog sports, dog being

Thomas Ebeling is a dog athlete , he practices agility . He led dogs at international championships and works as a performance judge. He is the second vice president of the German Association of Utility Dog Sports Clubs (DVG) and its Bavarian state chairman. He is also chairman of the 1st Chamber of the Association Court of the VDH .
