Thomas Gödtel (born July 4, 1983 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a German ice hockey defender who last played for the Heilbronner Falken in the DEL2 on the position of defender .

Career

Thomas Gödtel began his career as an ice hockey player in 2001 at SC Riessersee in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the two years in which he played in Riessersee, the defender reached the playoffs with his team. Nevertheless, he went to ESV Bayreuth in the ice hockey league the following season . In the 2004/2005 season Gödtel was on the ice for both the upper division club ERV Schweinfurt and the ETC Crimmitschau from the 2nd Bundesliga. In the summer of 2005 Gödtel received a contract with the second division club Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg . In the second year Gödtel rose with his team and played in the DEL for the first time in the 2007/2008 season . In 49 games he got four scorer points, two of which were goals. He also played 14 games in the same season for his ex-club, the second division Crimmitschau.

Gödtel had been under contract with the Augsburg Panthers since summer 2008 and was also given a license for the second division Heilbronner Falken for the 2008/09 season . For the 2009/10 season Gödtel moved to the Neckar without a production license. In 2012 he went to Düsseldorfer EG . In 2013 he signed a contract with the Iserlohn Roosters . After one season, the defender left Iserlohn again and initially took part as a test player in the Straubing Tigers ' season preparation . On September 9, 2014, Straubing's management announced the commitment of the native Upper Bavaria. After receiving only a little ice age during the season, Gödtel left Straubing in January 2015 and returned to the Heilbronner Falken from the DEL2, for which he had already played until 2012.
