Thomas Jacobsen (born September 13, 1972 ) is a former Danish sailor .
successes
At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, Thomas Jacobsen was a crew member alongside Henrik Blakskjær in the Soling boat class on Skipper Jesper Bank's Danish boat . After six races in the Fleet Race , they qualified with 45 points in twelfth place for the intermediate round , which was held in the Match Race . They won their group with four to one victories and achieved the same result in the quarter-finals, which was also played in a group. This was followed by a 3-1 victory against Norway in the semi-finals, after which it came to the final duel against the German boat led by Jochen Schümann . The Danes prevailed with four to three and became Olympic champions .
Jacobsen won the silver medal with Jesper Bank at World Championships in Helsinki in 1994 . He also sailed for the United Internet Team Germany at the 32nd America's Cup .
