Tim Nowak (born August 13, 1995 in Bad Mergentheim , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German athlete . He competes in the decathlon , indoor heptathlon and earlier in the running disciplines over 60 and 110 meter hurdles .

Athletic career

His list of successes is long, especially in the all-round competition. With 7827 points he started his entry into the men's age group in the decathlon at the all-around meeting in Ulm in May 2015 and was thus 227 points above the norm for the U23 European Championships in Tallinn ( Estonia ). At the World Indoor Championships in Portland / Oregon ( USA ) in 2016 , he finished the heptathlon with a personal best of 5832 points. At the all-around meeting in Halle / Saale on May 6, 2018, Tim Nowak celebrated his first 8,000 with 8,037 points. He then increased to 8,057 points at the Ratingen all- around meeting on June 17th. At the Thorpe Cup in Knoxville (Tennessee), 7,948 points were enough for him to finish second. At the end of the season, he finished third at the Décastar in Talence, France, with a new personal best of 8,229 points.

Nowak has been with SSV Ulm 1846 since 2014 , before he was with LG Hohenlohe .
