Timoteo Solórzano Rojas

Timoteo Solórzano Rojas MSC (born January 24, 1969 in Chucos , Peru ) is a Peruvian religious and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Trujillo .

Life

Timoteo Solórzano Rojas joined the congregation of the Sacred Heart Missionaries in 1987 and subsequently completed the novitiate in the Dominican Republic . From 1988 to 1996 he studied philosophy and Catholic theology in Lima . Solórzano Rojas put the first profession on 15 August 1990, and perpetual profession on the 15th August 1998. He received on 9 January 2001, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Timoteo Solórzano Rojas was then parish vicar in the Archdiocese of Trujillo for one year . From 2003 to 2004 he was pastor of the parishes of Puquio and Lucanas in the territorial prelature of Caravelí and from 2005 to 2007 pastor in the Archdiocese of Lima and hospital chaplain in the “Stella Maris” clinic in Lima. From 2007 to 2010 he was pastor of the parish of San Pablo in the Archdiocese of Trujillo. From 2011 to 2018 he was the leader of the formation of the Sacred Heart Missionaries in Peru and parish vicar in the parish of San Felipe in Lima. In 2018 Timoteo Solórzano Rojas became pastor of the parish of Santiago Apóstol in Acarí in the territorial prelature of Caravelí.

On November 6, 2018 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Dumium and Auxiliary Bishop of Trujillo. The Archbishop of Trujillo, Héctor Miguel Cabrejos Vidarte OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on January 5th of the following year . Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio to Peru, Archbishop Nicolas Girasoli , and the Peruvian Military Bishop , Juan Carlos Vera Plasencia MSC .

Motto

The motto of Bishop Timoteo Solórzano is: In verbo Tuo laxabo rete (“At your word I will throw out the net”). It is taken from the Gospel of Luke . ( Lk 5.5  EU )
