The territorial prelate Caravelí ( lat. : Territorialis Praelatura Caraveliensis ) is in the south of Peru located Roman Catholic territorial prelate based in Caravelí .

Its territory includes the provinces of La Unión , Condesuyos , Caravelí and Parinacochas as well as part of the province of Lucanas .

history

The territorial prelature Caravelí was on November 21, 1957 by Pope Pius XII. established with the Apostolic Constitution Quasi mater dulcissima from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Arequipa and the Diocese of Ayacucho o Huamanga .
