Tomislav Rogić (born November 8, 1965 in Senj , SR Croatia , Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Šibenik .

Life

Tomislav Rogić attended elementary school in Senj and then from 1980 to 1984 the Small Seminary in Zadar . From 1984 to 1991 he studied philosophy and catholic theology at the seminary in Rijeka . Rogić received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Rijeka-Senj on June 22, 1991 .

From 1991 to 1993 Tomislav Rogić was parish vicar in Vežica . He was then sent to Rome for further studies . In 1996 Rogić graduated from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome with a degree in Biblical Theology . He then taught biblical theology at the seminary in Rijeka. At the same time Tomislav Rogić was pastor in Rijeka. On May 25, 2000 he was incardinated in the clergy of the Gospić-Senj diocese . From 2000 to 2004 Rogić was vicar general of the Gospić-Senj diocese. In 2004 he became pastor in Ogulin . Since 2012 Tomislav Rogić has been pastor in Udbina and at the same time rector of the National Shrine of Croatian Martyrs in Udbina.

On June 3, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Šibenik. The archbishop of Zagreb , Josip Cardinal Bozanic , gave him on 25 July of the same year in the Cathedral of St. James in Sibenik , the episcopal ordination . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Split-Makarska , Marin Barišić , and Rogić's predecessor Ante Ivas .
