Ministry of Tourism of East Timor
The East Timorese Ministry of Tourism ( tetum Ministériu Turizmu , Portuguese Ministério do Turismo , MT for short) is the East Timorese government agency for the country's tourism policy. The tourism minister of the country is responsible for the management . The headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism is located on the Avenida de Motael in Dili district Palapaso ( Suco Motael ). The building is a villa from the Portuguese colonial era that was renovated and converted with Korean help in 2003.

In existence since 2018 VIII. Government tourism department had been with the department " Trade and Industry " for the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry ( tetum Ministériu turizmu, Komérsiu no Indústria , Portuguese Ministério do Turismo, Comércio e Indústria , in short: MTCI) united.
In the fifth and seventh governments , the ministry only bore the name “Ministry of Tourism”, whereas in the fifth government the department “art and culture” was subordinate to it. Government also clarified with the renaming of the Ministry in Ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture ( tetum Ministériu Turizmu, Artes no Kultura , Portuguese Ministério do Turismo, Artes e Cultura , short: MTAC).

The Ministry of Tourism is the central body of the government responsible for designing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the tourism policy established and approved by the Council of Ministers .
