Troy Bigam (born November 17, 1975 in Kelowna , British Columbia ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with ESC Halle 04 in the major league since 2011 .

Career

Troy Bigam has been playing ice hockey in Germany since 1999 and started in the North Rhine-Westphalia regional league , where he first went on the ice for EHC Solingen and Hamm . This was followed by several years at Neusser EV , where he was always one of the top scorers in the league. For the 2004/05 season he went to the league for ERC Hassfurt , but moved to the Höchstädter EC after 15 games due to the bankruptcy of the Sharks . The following season he first played for the Bayreuth Tigers , which, however, had to file for bankruptcy in the middle of the season. The EC Bad Tölz made use of the bankruptcy estate and committed Bigam, who advanced to the top scorer for the Tölz in the play-downs , but could not prevent relegation.

Due to the performance shown, Jan Tabor , the manager of the Dresdner Eislöwen , signed him for the 2006/07 season. Troy Bigam is considered a very good ice skater and usually plays in a row with the Eislöwen with Petr Míka and David Musial . In January 2007 Bigam asked to terminate his contract in order to move to Bietigheim , where he hoped for more Ice Age - however, he was mostly only a supplementary player for the Steelers or was not used at all. For the 2007/08 season Bigam received a contract at SC Riessersee, where he scored his first goal for Garmisch-Partenkirchen in his first competitive game (1st round DEB Cup, 1: 4 against Krefeld Pinguine). He stayed at SC Riessersee for a total of three years. He started the 2010/11 season at the top division club Rote Teufel Bad Nauheim , but left after just one game and spent the rest of the season at league rivals EV Landsberg .

For the 2011/12 season, Bigam moved within the major league to ESC Hall 04 .
