Turnišče (Hungarian Bántornya , German Thurnitz ) is a municipality in the Prekmurje region in Slovenia .

Location and inhabitants

3495 people live in the total municipality, which consists of the four villages of Gomilica, Nedelica, Renkovci and Turnišče. 1555 people live in the main town of Turnišče. The municipality is located in the far east of Slovenia, near the border with Hungary.
