Rogašovci (German Reissen ) is a municipality and a village in Goričko , the hilly part of the historical Prekmurje region in Slovenia .

geography

The municipality occupies the north-western part of the Goričko Hills and Rifts. The municipality extends over an area of ​​40.1 km² and borders in the north on the Austrian Burgenland , in the east on the municipalities of Kuzma and Grad and in the south on the municipalities of Puconci and Cankova . In the west, the municipal area is separated from the Austrian Styria by the border stream Kutschenitza (Slov. Kučnica) . This border is one of the oldest national borders in Europe. The entire municipality belongs to the three-country park Raab-Goričko-Örseg .

In the north of the municipality are on the border with Austria with the 418  m. i. J. high Sotinski breg and the two meters lower Serdiški breg are the two highest peaks of the Prekmurje and Pomurska regions . In the south, the municipality has a small share of the flood retention basin and Natura 2000 area Ledavsko jezero .

Residents

There are 3343 people in the entire community. The main town Rogašovci has 278 residents.
