The Universidade Federal do Acre (abbreviated UFAC; German Federal University of Acre ) is a federal university in the state of Acre , Brazil. It was founded on March 25, 1964, the main campus is in Rio Branco . UFAC has other campuses in the cities of Cruzeiro do Sul and Brasiléia .

history

On March 25, 1964, the Faculty of Law ( Faculdade de Direito ) was founded and in 1968 a Faculty of Economics ( Faculdade de Ciências Econômicas ). Courses in literature, education, mathematics, and social studies followed in 1970. They formed the Acre University Center.

On January 22, 1971, the Federal University of Acre was founded under the auspices of the Republic of Brazil. The federalization of the federal university was to become concrete on April 5, 1974.

Teaching

Building on its broad range of subjects, the university offers a large number of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education courses, which are detailed on the university's website.

The Federal University offers bachelor, specialization, master and doctoral courses at its locations. Classes can be in a face-to-face or distance format, which allows students flexibility.
