The Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (Portuguese: Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre - UFCSPA for short ) is a Brazilian university in Rio Grande do Sul in the south of the country.

Medical training
The medical training takes place largely in Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Porto Alegre . In 2010 the hospital team consisted of 205 assistant doctors.
Personalities
- Ciro de Quadros (1940–), medical doctor (epidemiology) who contributed significantly to campaigns to eradicate polio in developing countries.
- Moacyr Scliar (1937-2011), physician and writer who was a professor at the university.
